At Telana, we aren’t usually ones to brag, but when it comes to operational excellence, we believe in letting the experts do the talking for us. This time last year, we held a single, rock-solid accreditation: ISO 27001. Today, our shelf is looking a lot more crowded.

We have officially added ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 14001, and the cloud-specific ISO 27018 to our list of certifications. These aren’t just badges for our website; they are independent proof that we deliver high-quality, secure, and sustainable technology services that you can rely on every single day.

Here is a breakdown of what these accreditations actually mean for us and our customers:

1. ISO 27001 – Information Security Management

This was our first major milestone, and for a good reason. ISO 27001 is the international gold standard for managing information security. It isn’t just about IT; it’s about a holistic approach to people, processes, and technology.

  • Where it shows up: Our comprehensive Risk Management Framework and the physical and digital security protocols that protect our entire infrastructure.
  • What it means for you: Your data is in safe hands. This certification proves that we have rigorous controls in place to identify, manage, and mitigate security risks, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of your information at all times.
2. ISO 9001 – Quality Management

This is the global benchmark for quality. It ensures that Telana delivers consistent, reliable services with customer satisfaction at the core. It isn’t about paperwork; it’s about the PDCA Cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act)—a process that forces us to constantly improve how we work.

  • Where it shows up: In every service we deliver, mirrored after the rigorous standards of global leaders like Google and Microsoft.
  • What it means for you: A smoother experience and fewer surprises. We don’t just fix symptoms; we find and resolve root causes so the same problem doesn’t happen twice.
3. ISO 20000-1 – IT Service Management (ITSM)

While 9001 is about general quality, ISO 20000-1 is the gold standard specifically for IT service delivery. It ensures our workflows are formalised, from how we manage technical catalogs to how we report on SLAs.

  • Where it shows up: Our Service Level Management and technical service catalogs.
  • What it means for you: Total transparency. You get predictable, high-performing service delivery backed by monthly capacity planning and formal “Change Advisory Board” (CAB) meetings.
4. ISO 27018 – Cloud Privacy

As a “bolt-on” to our existing ISO 27001 security certification, ISO 27018 is all about protecting your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the cloud.

  • Where it shows up: Cloud processing and data handling.
  • What it means for you: Peace of mind. We operate with a strict “zero marketing use” policy for your PII and mandate 72-hour breach notifications, ensuring your data is handled with the highest level of consent and control.
5. ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword at Telana; it’s part of our service lifecycle. ISO 14001 moves us toward environmental responsibility by analysing the impact of every stage of our delivery.

  • Where it shows up: Hardware e-waste management, data center cooling, and even “Green Coding” to reduce server energy demand.
  • What it means for you: You’re working with a “Green” partner. Whether it’s favoring rail over flights or tracking our GHG emissions, we help you meet your own ESG goals through a sustainable supply chain.
A Single Source of Truth

These certifications are now harmonised into a single Integrated Management System (IMS). This “single source of truth” means that whether our team is in London or working remotely, they follow the same best-of-breed processes.

By aligning our internal controls with global giants and focusing on continuous improvement, we aren’t just checking boxes. We are building a safety net that allows us to move fast and innovate with confidence – all while protecting what matters most: your business.

In addition to our expanding suite of ISO certifications, Telana is proud to carry Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. These government-backed certifications demonstrate our commitment to operational security against common cyber threats. While our ISO certifications focus on broad management systems, Cyber Essentials Plus involves a rigorous technical audit of our systems to verify that specific security controls are effectively in place. This ensures we maintain a high baseline of “Cyber Hygiene,” providing an extra layer of protection for our clients’ data and further establishing Telana as a secure, trustworthy partner for both enterprise and Public Sector organisations.

The Next Milestone? We are already looking toward ISO 42001 to ensure our future AI integrations are ethical, transparent, and secure.
