Telana’s Organisation Structure

Telana Ltd. is a cloud-native company headquartered in the UK. Our operations are based out of offices in Bracknell and London, with all business operations able to be carried out from these locations or remotely. We deliver Google and Microsoft Cloud services to customers primarily in the United Kingdom.

Telana’s organisational structure includes teams responsible for leadership and strategy, information security, corporate IT, and various business functions such as finance, technical practices, and delivery. Our structure is designed to support the effective management of our services, our supply chain, and the security of our operations.

Telana specialises in delivering Google and Microsoft Cloud services to a diverse range of customers. We provide professional services related to infrastructure, data, and application development, as well as collaboration solutions provided by Google and Microsoft.

As a cloud-native company, Telana has no data centers, physical servers, or similar infrastructure under our direct ownership or operation. Our services are underpinned by Google hosting and cloud technologies. Our core business involves supporting and maintaining these cloud-based services for our clients, ensuring the efficient and secure use of Google and Microsoft Cloud technologies.

Our Supply Chain

Telana’s supply chains primarily involve our partnerships and relationships with technology providers, service providers, and contractors. Key suppliers include Google and Microsoft (for cloud services, licensing, and partnership management), as well as providers of office facilities, IT services, healthcare, insurance, and contractor services.

Our supplier management is governed by our ‘Telana Supplier Management Policy,’ which outlines the criteria for identifying key suppliers, the process for supplier onboarding, and the management of information security in supplier relationships. We conduct due diligence on our suppliers, including assessing their financial stability, reputation, experience, data protection practices, business continuity management, HR practices, and commitment to combating modern slavery and human trafficking.

We ensure that our supplier agreements include appropriate commitments in information security, data protection, confidentiality, and compliance with Telana policies. We regularly monitor and review our key supplier service delivery to ensure adherence to agreements and proper management of information security incidents.

Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking statement is a response to section 54 (1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities of the financial year 1 April, 2022 to 31 March, 2023. This statement sets out Telana’ actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains.

As an organisation who encourages businesses to adopt good practice with their IT systems as well as mitigating any risks from internet-based threats, we sincerely endorse any legislation that helps advocate a better working life. Our organisation is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Our values of Boldly Innovative, Celebrating Diversity, Trusted to Deliver, Selflessly ambitious are the pillars of our culture. They embody everything that we do at Telana and how we do business. They outline the expectation of our people’s behaviour with colleagues, member firms, vendors and people around the world.

We seek to treat everyone fairly and consistently, creating a workplace and business environment that is open, transparent and trusted. Our policies and procedures relating to the Modern Slavery Act are in line with our culture and values.

Our procedures to address modern slavery risk include:

  • Employment policies that protect our people from unfair treatment and promote a fair and inclusive workplace
  • Robust recruitment processes in line with relevant employment laws
  • Wellbeing strategy and initiatives to support our people’s physical and mental wellbeing and lifestyle choice

Potential Risk Areas and Risk Management

Telana acknowledges that the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking can exist within various parts of our business and our supply chains. Potential areas of risk may include, but are not limited to:

  • Technology Supply Chain: Procurement of hardware, software, and IT services, particularly from regions or suppliers with less stringent labor regulations.
  • Service Providers: Engagement with contractors and service providers, including cleaning, security, and logistics, who may employ vulnerable workers.
  • International Operations: Any operations or partnerships involving countries with known human rights concerns.

To assess and manage these risks, we have implemented the following steps:

  1. Supplier Due Diligence: We are in the process of developing and implementing a due diligence process for new and existing suppliers. This includes evaluating their policies and practices related to modern slavery, as well as requiring contractual commitments to uphold human rights standards.
  2. Risk Assessment: We will conduct regular risk assessments of our supply chains to identify and prioritize areas where the risk of modern slavery is higher.
  3. Training and Awareness: We are committed to providing training to our employees and relevant stakeholders to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and our policies to address them.
  4. Reporting Mechanisms: We will establish clear reporting mechanisms for employees and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery.
  5. Continuous Improvement: We will regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.

Measuring Effectiveness

Telana is committed to regularly assessing the effectiveness of the steps taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in its business or supply chains. We will track and monitor relevant performance indicators, which may include:

  • Supplier Compliance: Percentage of suppliers who have completed our due diligence process and provided contractual commitments to uphold human rights standards.
  • Training Completion: Percentage of employees and relevant stakeholders who have completed modern slavery awareness training.
  • Reports Received and Actions Taken: Number of reports received through our reporting mechanisms, and the actions taken in response to those reports.
  • Audit Results: Results of any internal or external audits conducted to assess compliance with our modern slavery policy.

We will use these performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of our measures and identify areas for improvement. This data will inform our continuous improvement efforts and ensure that our policies and procedures remain robust and effective in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
