TV advertising offers unparalleled impact, trust, and value for brands, but the high production costs and timelines have historically restricted access to large corporations. Channel 4 sought an innovative solution to address this inequality and enable mid-market brands to create effective ads without the need for large-scale production budgets. This represents a significant opportunity for Channel 4 from an ad spend perspective, and brands who can now reach new markets and audiences.

The Solution

Telana partnered with Channel 4 to overcome this issue, and help build a solution that could automatically create compliant, high-quality, TV-ready ads. Utilising Google’s Veo for Video Creation, allowed the creative to be purely generative, building entire visual narratives from available material.

This also dramatically reduced the need for traditional filming and post-production, offering a fast, cost-effective path from concept to screen.

The Outcome

Our collaboration alongside other partners like Stream AI resulted in the successful launch of Channel 4’s first ever Generative AI advertisement. The pioneering ad built for Spirit Studios latest podcast, “The Good, The Bad, and The Healthy”, successfully demonstrated how brands can now tap into valuable streaming audiences and achieve instant impact without the need for a big budget.
